There are two beautifully appointed cottages on Vallen Farm. Both are renovated stone barns, with loads of character and all the mod-cons that you are used to.
In both cottages, you will find:
Downstairs bedroom and bathroom - very popular with older visitors who don’t like stairs.
Fenced gardens with paved patios, wooden furniture and gas BBQs – kids and dogs are safely contained.
Open plan kitchen/living rooms – so the cooks aren’t stuck on their own while the family has fun.
Dishwashers, microwaves, washer/dryers, fridge/freezers – you’ve got them at home so you need them on holiday!
Colour televisions/video players and music centres – home entertainment away from home.
Oil fired central heating and cast iron stoves in the sitting rooms – we get as many visitors in winter as in summer!
Bedding and bath towels provided – there’s nothing worse than having to make beds after a long drive!
Great views across rolling, organic farmland.

Vallen Calf Barn

Upstairs, a double and 2 twin rooms and a bathroom
Downstairs a double bedroom and a bathroom.

The Calf Barn used to be just that – a long, low barn where calves were kept when Vallen was a dairy farm. Now, it’s a large, airy house with spacious rooms and loads of natural light. It backs onto the farmyard and has fabulous views of working farmland to the front. A firm favourite with extended families, it’s also great for couples getting together with friends for a gloriously away-from-it-all countyside break.

Sleeps 4 / 2 bedrooms
Upstairs double bedroom and ensuite shower/WC
Downstairs a twin room and family bathroom.

The Cart House was originally home for a cart and hose, with a loft where horse tack and feed were stored. It backs onto the farmyard and faces out across rolling countryside, providing a great view from the living room and patio. Bright and spacious, warm and welcoming, this is a great base for a countryside holiday.
